(Beijing, April 20) This evening's "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 FIE World Championships saw Italy's Andrea Cassara outfight his German rival Benjamin Kleibrink to win the men's individual foil event.

Today, Cassara drew with Kleibrink on several occasions before beating the latter 15-11 for the gold medal. Benjamin Kleibrink took the silver medal.

The bronze-medal match, contested between Italy's Andrea Baldini and Russia's Alexey Cheremisinov, ended 15-8 in favor of the Italian. Alexey Cheremisinov was fourth.
