James Beevers (GBR)
On his performance:
"I did well today and our team got 40 points."

"In my third round, I chased the score to 35 and modified my strategy a little to help me win."

On his opponent (Marcin Zawada):
"I have faced him several times and I think today I was better than him. In the second round, I want to strike him but he came forward as I went back and he made me fall over as he hit home."

Iqnacio Rodriguez (ESP)
On his performance:
"I went out there just following my inner voice and nothing else. I struggled hard for my team, given our lower ranking compared to the USA."

On the coloured pistes:
"They impressed all of us. It was a surprise when I first saw it, but we are used to it now."

On the match:
"We performed as we expected, everyone did their best and did a good job. Fencing is a very hard sport, it's very fierce."

Gerek Meinhardt (USA)

"We are the youngest team in this competition. It'a a good experience for us since many strong fencers are here. Although we are young, we have been fencing for a long time. I started when I was 8."

On his feeling:
"I feel relaxed. The match is over, and I have time ahead of the next one."

On the match point:
"It was unlucky to concede 3 straight touches at match point. Because this was a team event, we always focud hard. No matter how challenging the match is, we will win."

Fernando Scavasin (BRA)

"It was quite disappointing but I think my performance was at its usual level. Italy is a very strong team are former world champions."
